The sync technology will change at some time in the future, but sync will still exist. Mac. Kiev has also added a nice feature to password protect exported tree files including GEDCOMs. There are a few other enhancements, as well, but most of the improvements were performance related. Overall, this update was worth waiting for, and the best part is that its free for owners of Ancestrys last versions.
